While in NYC at age 26 I got signed to a major record label. I wrote 3 albums of music with original songs in French and in English, which you can hear on Spotify under the name ERIKA HORSEY. When I moved to Paris at age 28, I stayed with a good friend of mine. Then got myself a job working as an au pair then as an English teacher, then in product placement -advertising for feature films. While working in film one of my childhood friends from my summers as a child in Paris invited me for dinner. There I met my husband who is French. That was in 2001. We got married 6 months later and have been married for 22years.

We lived in Paris until 2012 and in Los Angeles from 2013 to present. During my time living in Paris there were times I wanted an English speaking professional. While living in Los Angeles my husband wanted a French speaking professional for example:  when we bought our house,our mortgage lender spoke French; when he became American, our lawyer was from France. Thus came the idea to make a company the French American Directory.

Erika lives in Los Angeles with her teenage son and husband.
